Ophthalmic Assistant

We are looking for an experienced full-time ophthalmic technician/ assistant who is positive, energetic and has excellent communication skills to join our team. 
 

Scope / Duties 
•Recording the ophthalmic history of patients. 
•Performing the preliminary assessment. 
•Providing ophthalmic surgical assistance in the clinic procedure room. 
•Performing various types of eye photography including OCT and Fluorescein Angiography
•Assuming responsibility for the maintenance and care of the equipment and surgical instruments. 
•Ensuring adequate levels of supplies. 
 

Education 
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. 
Preferred: Degree in related field. 
 

Experience 
One to five years related experience. 
Any of the following is preferred: 
1. Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) / Ophthalmic Technician (COT) 
2. Non-certified Ophthalmic assistant with 1-5 years of experience performing the above duties
